Help shape the joke catalogues

This page shows the reference books, films, comedians, and joke that are used to inspire our Joke AI engine in addition to your direct joke feedbacks. Rate the items you like, comment on the ones that miss the mark, and use + Suggest to add the ones we're missing — your vote and comments shape what jokes get generated for your cared-for. Catalogues are scoped for specific countries.

💡 What is a "seed"? click to expand

A seed is a single Onion-style joke headline auto-generated every 12 hours from current news. Each seed is a candidate joke we could later turn into a full delivered joke (image, video, voice).

How it works:

  1. Every 12 hours (00:00 + 12:00 UTC), we pull RSS items from the news sources panel below and cluster them by token overlap into ~8 topics per market.
  2. For each cluster, Gemini riffs 2 Onion-style headlines anchored on a concrete, safe noun. Real names (Musk, Trump, etc.) are swapped to a safer adjacent noun like "AI", "tech CEO", or "Senate".
  3. A panel of 3 LLM judges (Gemini · OpenAI · Anthropic) scores each headline on respectfulness, political lean, "punches down", names-real-person, elder-friendliness, and funniness.
  4. A seed passes only if every active judge agrees on respectful≥4 AND punches_down=0 AND names_real_person=0 AND elder_friendly≥3.

Passing seeds are grouped by their anchor noun and ranked by composite score (avg_funny × pass_rate × log(count+1)) — that ranking is what drives the "Today's best topic" cards and the illustrated media previews below.

Top rejection axes (today)

    Judge axes

Every dimension the panel of judges scores each headline on. Pass rule shows which threshold gates the verdict; advisory axes are tracked but don't fail a seed on their own. Today's flags = how many of today's seeds were rejected for tripping this axis.

    Source categories

Editorial bucket for each feed in the Sources panel above. Drives the chip color and, for people_press, relaxes the judge's names_real_person rule so seeds may name actors, royals, pop stars. Today's seeds = how many of today's batch came from sources in this category.

    Audience tags

Optional secondary chips on a feed row that hint at who a source skews to. Not enforced in the verdict — purely informational so the operator can spot which feeds will lean Gen-Z, partisan, geeky, etc. A single source can carry several tags.
